Positive Coaching Alliance – Saddleback United is committed to maintaining a positive coaching environment that has a dual focus of striving to win, but more importantly to teach children life lessons through soccer. To do this, the club has earned and will maintain the Seal of Commitment through the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). The program includes mandatory training for all club administrators and coaches, along with optional instruction for parents and players. The PCA program will help our coaches and administrators to further develop their communication techniques to improve their effectiveness in working with the kids without having to resort to intimidation or other negative tactics.
TOPSoccer (The US Youth Soccer Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community based training and team placement program for young athletes ages 5 and up with special needs. TOPSoccer provides meaningful learning, development and physical participation opportunities for these young athletes through the game of soccer. The emphasis of this program is on development, training and participation rather than on competition. Our goal is to enable young athletes with disabilities to develop their physical fitness, technical skills, courage and self-esteem through the joy and excitement of playing soccer.
Green & Moncrief is a Physical Therapy clinic with offices in Mission Viejo (on Oso at Marguerite) and in San Juan Capistrano (on Camino Capistrano) that specializes in treating sports injuries for young athletes. Saddleback United has been referring patients to G&M for over a year and the results have been exceptional. Saddleback United is an official CalSouth sanctioned league of registration (club). CalSouth provides the base infrastructure for competitive and recreational soccer in Southern California for both Youth and Adult soccer players with over 200,000 members.
